Tusli | Incense Sticks by Temple of Incense
Tulsi incense sticks are made from the most sacred plant of Hindu tradition – Tulsi. Also known as Holy Basil, Tulsi has great importance in Ayurvedic medicine, often translated as ‘the incomparable one’.
This is the best of where we bring together ancient spiritual practice and luxury fragrance. The scent is green and fresh, with herbal qualities that are reminiscent of basil but more intense and slightly sweeter with a peppery finish. There’s a light, citrus-like brightness to its fragrance, which adds a refreshing quality. It also has an earthy, grounding undertone, with a slight medicinal aroma that can be soothing and cleansing.
Tulsi is an excellent, perhaps the best, aromatic nerve tonic. It clears the head, relieves intellectual fatigue, and gives the mind strength and clarity. In Far Eastern and Hindu traditions, Tulsi incense sticks also purify and energise the air.
A holy prayer describes the Tulsi plant as having the supreme creator Brahma in its branches, the Vedas in its lower branches, all other deities in its stem and the Ganges running through its roots. That is the significance that this plant holds in the hearts and minds of its devotees.

The Temple of Incense story began in 2012, on a little market stall on Portobello Road, when two sisters from London – Simi and Sam Aydee – set out to deliver the best in world-class incense. The ritual of burning incense is something that has been engrained in their lives for as long as they can remember, and they've now dedicated everything to bringing that bit of magic into your homes.
