Dragon's Blood | Incense Sticks by Temple of Incense

I’m SUCH a fan of Temple of Incense (but I buy them from Lotus Zen!) and this is a perennial favorite. I use dragon’s blood for it’s cleansing properties (similar to Frankincense), as remarkably, it’s actually a bright red resin from a tree so if you are expecting it to smell like a ‘scent’ it doesn’t. However it IS a lovely rich fragrance, not too strong or overpowering. I burn it any time of day or night. Good long burn but keeps an excellent smoke and scent balance. Absolutely love, love, love! My brother came over recently and he would never normally notice things like this but he commented on it and will be buying it too!
I usually tend to stick to the fragrances I know and like this one but everything from this brand is so lovely I thought I try some new ones! They were not a disappointment either so I will definitely try more from Temple of Incense and Lotus Zen!

First impression was disappointing. But it's growing on me a little bit. It's well balanced and so nothing in it sticks out as offensive. But the flavour unfortunately reminds me of cheap scented candles I've smelled as a child. I would not recommend this if you like "manlier" scents.

I used to buy this from the Fred Soll brand at Mysteries in Covent Garden, but they're not there anymore, so I was very happy to find them on the Lotus Zen website. They're just as good as the previous brand, I couldn't be happier. My mood is boosted whenever I light one up, the scent is intense and lovely. According to Mr Soll, it's also able to bringing ex-lovers back into your life, still waiting for that one -), but even without that, it's a most wonderful incense.

I was curious, to try it. I am glad that I did! A truly exceptional fragrance! I definitely will buy it again!
